The Dumlao and Castillo Law Offices, or JDPC Law, is the result of a vision more than a decade in the making. Before formally coming together, its founding partners obtained many years of experience in their respective fields and institutions. Through JDPC Law, the founding partners bring to fore their collective strengths and experiences, to ensure utmost competence, quality, and integrity in working with and for JDPC Law’s clients. 


JDPC Law operates with the mindset that work should not only be done, but that it must be accomplished exceptionally well. Partner's Profiles

Atty. Paul Cornelius T. Castillo 

Atty. Castillo has more than eleven (11) years of active practice experience, primarily as a Senior Associate in one of the Philippines’ top and full-service law firms. His main areas of practice are civil and criminal litigation, labor law, and corporate law. He has gone through the full-spectrum of trial, both as a prosecutor and in defense of clients, and regularly appears in courts all over the Philippines. He has appeared for oral arguments before the Supreme Court, and has obtained landmark decisions in matters involving cybercrime and court procedure on commercial cases. 

Clients from various industries have also been represented by Atty. Castillo in all kinds and stages of proceedings before labor tribunals (including SEnA), Collective Bargaining Negotiations, Department of Labor audits, and appealed cases. 

He has substantial exposure with corporate due diligence and housekeeping, acquisitions, and transacting work before the Securities and Exchange Commission. He also serves as the corporate secretary of various companies. 


Atty. Castillo likewise has experience in the areas of data privacy, immigration, and family law, and has done intellectual property related work. 


He is also a part-time professor at the Far Eastern University Institute of Law, handling classes involving court rules and procedures. Occasionally, he leads television and radio programs where legal questions are sent and answered. 

Atty. Castillo obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2008 from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, while he finished his Political Science degree from the De La Salle University – Manila. 

Atty. Jovian Jubert S. Dumlao

Atty. Dumlao has more than twelve (12) years of continuing practice particularly in the areas of dispute and conflict resolution, litigation, and employment processes. He is well-versed with all facets of trial and court practice, having represented several clients both as prosecutor and defense counsel, in various venues all over the Philippines. He likewise has a strong experience in multi-jurisdiction arbitration involving cross-border disputes. He has honed his skills and gained experience from a decade of being with a ranking law firm in the Philippines, serving as counsel for multinationals, domestic conglomerates, and prominent individuals. 

Atty. Dumlao has specific and extensive experience in dealing with Southeast and East Asian clients with respect to their business issues and disputes; and, regulatory needs. He has also previously represented multinational clients in complex commercial and public interest disputes with a wide range of experience from highly technical and complex multiparty suits, labor disputes both for the employer and the employee, criminal cases involving private parties and government entities, and various other claims. He actively participated from case filing to judgment execution. He also has substantial exposure with appellate practice both in the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.

Dumlao has a demonstrated history of working in the law practice industry, skilled in Admiralty; Arbitration; Aviation; Corporate Law involving local and cross border transactions; Family Law and Children’s rights; Entertainment, Gaming and Mass Media Law; Civil, Commercial, Criminal and Tax Litigation; Banking and Financial Transactions, and Property and Real Estate Law. 


He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Sciences; a Master's degree focused in Public Administration from the National College of Public Administration and Governance and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the College of Law, all from the University of the Philippines.
